“In a remarkable stride towards promoting student literacy and cultivating a love for reading, Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas (CASLV) proudly announces the addition of Book Vending Machines to two of its campuses, Centennial Hills and Tamarus. This initiative was made possible through dedicated fundraising efforts, opening an exciting dimension to CASLV’s comprehensive approach to education.
At Tamarus, the Book Vending Machine is expected to be a beacon of aspiration through the school’s Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) positive rewards program. Winners of the monthly schoolwide drawing will receive a coin granting access to the machine, providing them the joy of selecting their preferred book. With a strategic focus on sustainability, Dollars raised from annual Book Fairs will be utilized to maintain a well-stocked and diverse collection within the vending machine. A portion of the funding for the machine was graciously donated by a parent donor, in memory of a family member who previously served as a teacher.
At Centennial Hills, students will use the Coral Cash incentive system through their school’s MTSS program to obtain tokens for the vending machine. These tokens allow them to select their desired book, enhancing their reading journey through a novel and interactive experience. The machine will not only reward academic excellence but also reinforces positive behavior choices.

Both campuses embarked on extraordinary fundraising drives for each machine. Campaigns were a collaborative effort, where teachers, parents, and students joined forces to raise over $7,000 per campus. These fundraising efforts will be celebrated with a grand opening event at each campus in September.”
